Online shops — Bower, a boutique
How the real one works
The production version is a custom storefront on Shopify: Shopify holds the products, stock, orders and checkout; the site is built to look and move like the brand.
- 01
Products and stock live in ShopifyBower edits products, photos, prices and stock in Shopify's admin. The site reads them live, so a sold-out size locks the moment the last one sells — in the shop and at the counter.
- 02
Checkout is Shopify'sThe cart hands off to Shopify Checkout: cards, Apple Pay, Afterpay, GST and shipping rates are handled by infrastructure that already works. Payments are never ours to get wrong.
- 03
Discount codes and shipping rules are settingsCodes like SETOUT10 and the free-shipping threshold are set up in Shopify, not in code — Bower changes them without a developer.
- 04
The site is ours, so it is fast and looks like BowerThe storefront is a custom build rather than a theme, so it loads in about a second and nothing about it looks like everyone else's Shopify store.
