The brief
Three Pence roast to order. A generic store template flattens that — everything becomes a product tile and the reason to buy disappears.
What we built
- Eleven pages — home, shop, product, cart, subscriptions, wholesale, about, contact, and the legal pages a store actually needs.
- Full catalogue with a cart that carries through to a Shopify checkout, so payments, tax and shipping are handled by infrastructure that already works.
- A subscription flow for repeat orders — the highest-value thing a roaster sells.
- A wholesale path kept separate from retail. A café buying by the kilo needs a conversation, not a Buy button.
- Deployed on Netlify with the domain, SSL and DNS set up so the existing mail and Shopify subdomain kept working untouched.
Why it is static
Plain files from a CDN: under a second to load, nothing to hack or patch. Checkout and subscriptions hand off to Shopify — the part you genuinely do not want to build yourself. The fast half is free, the hard half is rented.

01 — Home
The roast-to-order story leads, because that is the reason to buy. Products come after it, not instead of it.
02 — Shop
Blends first, then equipment. Filtering stays out of the way until the catalogue is big enough to need it.
04 — Subscriptions
Its own page, not a checkbox buried in the cart — it is the highest-value thing on the site.
